a project i had to do for college. The task was to make "miniature" drawings. So each one of these is only 2 X 3 inches which makes it kinda hard to add in very fine detail (especially with the crappy black pen i was using to ink) ... Its all mayfair-ed and bond-ed and mounted on illustration board if anyone cares (hahah)

i threw it into protraits cuz they are kinda concepts/portraits of this little project i've been working on...its kinda "what if hip hop wasn't a human thing?...what if it was robot trend/culture?"

so yeah pretty much its a small comics based on 7 bots and thier lives. i haven't fleshed it out that much (they don't even have names yet....so its currently : MC bot, Graff bot, B-bot etc ... the working name is Mekanikal) but they are going to look like they were designed for what they are into...for example MC bot will have jacks in his head to plug the mic into ... and a gun for a head (inspired by abeck) cuz he "spits bullets on tha mic" ... Graff bot will have a backpacklike section to his body that dispenses cans like grenades/ammo and his face looks like a gasmask (think raiden's mask from the very beginning of MSG2) ....

its not all just hip hop tho, its kinda all the shit im into thrown all together...so you'll see car culture,parkour and martial arts thrown in here and there (Car-bot?, Ninja-bot? ... hahah) ............either way if you got some sketches/concepts , lemme know...this isn't like a huge project unless i get a wicked response so this'll continue for a while here and there

oh yeah, the 3 mechs pictured here (from left to right):
Parkour bot (rockin' MDRV700DJs~!), Emcee bot (version 2.0) and Graff bot (his face is blank cuz he paints on it all the time... so his face changes from day to day)
